This Privacy Policy explains how NFN Labs, as the data controller, collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the CapMeet web app, Windows/Mac Electron app, or related services.

2. Who We Are – Data Controller


NFN Labs, the parent company and owner of CapMeet, is the “data controller” under applicable data protection laws. All references to “we”, “us”, or “our” mean NFN Labs in its capacity as operator of CapMeet.

When you use CapMeet, we may collect:

  • Account Data: Your email address, collected during login (via direct email login or Google Sign-In).

  • Recordings: Audio and/or video content that you choose to record through CapMeet.

  • Transcripts & Summaries: Text generated from your recordings using AI models for transcription, summarization, and question-answering.

  • Usage Data: Logs of feature usage, app performance, and anonymized engagement metrics.

  • Feedback & Support Data: Any information you voluntarily share with us when contacting support.

We do not access or collect your recordings without your explicit use of the record/upload features.

4. Children’s Privacy


CapMeet is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us to request its deletion.

5. How We Use Your Information


We use collected data to:

  • Provide core functionality of CapMeet (recording, transcription, summaries, and Q&A).

  • Improve the accuracy of AI models and enhance user experience.

  • Provide customer support and communicate product updates (if opted-in).

  • Analyze anonymized trends to improve performance and reliability.

We never sell or rent your personal data.



6. International Users & Data Rights


If you are located in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your data under GDPR or CCPA.

These providers operate under their own privacy policies. NFN Labs is not responsible for their practices.

  • We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption and secure storage, to protect your data.

  • Recordings and transcripts are only accessible to you unless explicitly shared.

10. Data Retention


  • Recordings & Transcripts: Retained as long as your account remains active, unless you delete them.

  • Account Data: Retained until your account is deleted.

  • Anonymized Usage Data: May be retained for analytics and product improvement.

11. User Rights and Consent Withdrawal


You may:

  • Request access or deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@capmeet.ai

  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications through unsubscribe links or by contacting us.

  • Delete your recordings manually in the app.

12. Data Breach Notification


In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your information, we will:

  • Notify affected users within 72 hours of discovery

  • Provide details about the breach and recommended actions.

13. Changes to Privacy Policy


We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law or our practices. Updates will be posted on our website/app. Continued use of CapMeet after changes means you accept the updated policy.

This Privacy Policy applies solely to CapMeet. Other products by NFN Labs may have separate privacy policies.
